FAQ

Who are the teachers in your preschool?

Everyone who volunteers in our preschool is a regular attendee of our church, all of our teachers are members.  Every volunteer has been screened and background checked.

Why do you split up children by age?

Children learn best in an environment designed to meet their developmental needs.  Each of our classrooms is designed with your child’s developmental level in mind.  They are also taught lessons from the bible in a way they can understand with activities specific to your child’s age.

My children are different ages can they be in the same class?

We prefer that children go to their age appropriate class. If you have further questions feel free to talk with the preschool coordinator when you arrive.

Can preschoolers actually learn the bible stories?

YES!  Children are constantly learning and the things they learn when they are young stick with them throughout life.  We are committed to teach preschoolers Biblical concepts from infancy.

Should I leave my Baby in the Preschool?

YES!  We have capable care givers who will love and care for your baby and teach them about God’s love.  From Birth-One year old babies are developing their sense of trust and mistrust, by leaving them with us for a short time it helps them learn to trust the people that you trust.  This also provides you a short break every week.  We will always come and get you if your baby is having a hard time.

Do you have a security system in your preschool?

When you drop off your child you will receive a security tag from your child’s teacher.  When you return to pick them up you will return that tag and we will give you back your child.  We only release children to someone who has the proper security tag.

What do I do if my child cries?

Some crying is normal.  Remember you are always teaching your child.  Here is the best way to drop a child off at the preschool.

  1. Arrive early and allow time to explain what will be going on.  Let the child look in the window and see the classroom before going in.
  2. Tell the child that you will be leaving them with their teacher and assure them that they will have a good time and that you will be back to pick them up after church.
  3. Leave your child with their teacher, wave goodbye and leave
  4. If you are concerned about your child feel free to come back and to check on your child, by looking in the window and seeing what they are doing.
  5. When you return to pick the child up, reassure them that you will always come back when you say you will.  Children need to know that they can trust your word and trust other people.
